Norwich Harmony is steered by our music team and our committee elected at our AGM held each January. The committee organises singouts (the barbershop name for concerts), convention attendance, fundraising, PR, costumes, finance and everything else needed to run a group of this size smoothly.
Alison Thompson became musical director of Norwich Harmony in 2001. She runs rehearsals with the help of the music team. For the last 10 years she has sung and competed in quartet too. She is a certified singing judge for the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers and has judged in Holland, Spain, Ireland, Canada and USA. She has also been a faculty member for many educational events. She joined the chorus in 1995 when her son was three, and her daughter, just three months old. She works as a dressmaker and designer and also as a receptionist and admin assistant.
Carol has been and member of the chorus since 2005. She is assistant director and also joint lead section leader, she sings in quartet and directs our brother chorus Fine City Chorus . Her day job is teaching childcare at Lowestoft college.
